Lydia Wager
Bachelor of Environmental Design (Interior design)
Lydia is the founding director of Lydia Maskiell Interior Design studio. She gained her start into the interior world in 2011 at a small bespoke interior practice in Canada. Amid the ski slopes, not only did she meet the affable Gene Simmons but also gained an inquisitive understanding of colour, form, composition and how finishes are put together. Fast forward through an Interior Architecture degree, an early career with one of Tasmania’s leading architecture practices, to the foundation of her own award-winning studio, Lydia has followed the breadcrumbs to her purpose.
Fuelled by double shot almond lattes and an unstoppable imagination, Lydia see’s every project as an opportunity to build on existing ideas and rethink new possibilities. She is the eternal ideas woman, offering expert knowledge and advice to projects of all scopes and scales, rendering each as wholly unique.
In a parallel universe, Lydia’s innate moves and appreciation for iconic 80’s dancing could have saw her jazzercising as an aerobics instructor but alas her creativity and zest for colour have been harnessed for the greater world of interiors.
